Introduction to Redline Marketing

Hi I’ Carly, Director of Redline Marketing. Motorsport became part of my life through my family — and now it’s a passion we share together. That love for the sport inspires every piece of content I create whether it's through editing photos, writing captions or to helping brands tell their very own story. 


About Me : life behind the lens and on the kart track 

Motorsport is a sport that gives you an adrenaline rush like no other, from on the track to standing watching. It creates moments of excitement like no other and that's why I fell in love with it.

Motorsport is something I never had an interest in until I met my partner who has been brought up around the motorsport industry since he was a little boy from watching his dad and uncle race cars to then racing in karts himself. I fell in love with the sport from the first moment he took me to my first karting track and from then I was hooked. 


How it started

My journey into starting Redline Marketing began when I knew I could merge my two passions , Social media and motorsport together. I already had a background in social media from managing other accounts and then helped One Custom Graphics launch on social media. 


I love creating content and the whole process from writing captions to making graphics to the behind the scenes. I really zone out and can be as creative as I want when it comes to the creation side of social media.


The work behind the work 

Being a motorsport social media manager is more than posting a few photos from race day it means…. 


  • Capturing the heart of a race weekend, from sunrise pitlanes checks to late night debriefs. My job is to make sure every little detail is captured and shared as that is what makes the story bigger. 

  • Turning chaos into communication, Every photo or moment needs context: captions,updates, insights, and the right tone for the audience.

  • Understanding what fans want to see, analytics help me to see what has worked and hasn't, it helps me plan for content fans want to see which will in return help you reach your social media goals. 

  • Connecting people to the team, I work with drivers, race tracks, race teams, motorsport events and so many other people in this industry to ensure their online presence reflects real life. From the highs, lows,behind the scenes and making sure it fits their brand. 


Why I love what I do 

I mean who doesn't love being able to do their passions, why not do something that makes you happy. I love being able to visit the kart track on a weekend especially if it means I get to see my son's eyes light up when he sees the track or supporting his dad driving on the track. I get to capture these special moments and write about them. 


Being able to do that is why I love doing what I do, I get to show people the excitement of what happens on a race weekend, a kart track or even an event where everyone is doing what they love. 


The person behind the platforms 

Outside the motorsport industry, I’m someone who…. 

  • Is a mum to two boys who also love cars, I find them everywhere 

  • Loves coffee, I’m not awake till I’ve had my morning coffee 

  • Enjoys cooking and baking after a busy day working 

  • Spends her sunday watching formula 1 with family when I'm not at the track 


What's next?

Whether I’m helping a brand to grow, build a community or creating a strategy, my goal remains the same:

To make sure motorsport is celebrated through storytelling and photos that capture it.
